Ian has over 20 years of wide ranging and interesting civil litigation experience, including cases in products liability, class actions, estate litigation, employment law, transportation law and administrative law. Some of the clients that Ian has acted for over the years are Ford Motor Company and Ford Motor Company of Canada, Jaguar Land Rover Canada, Volvo Cars of Canada Corporation, the College of Physicians and Surgeons of British Columbia, Burlington Northern Santa Fe Railroad, the International Triathlon Union and Van-Kam Freightways Ltd. – clients you might expect to see on the big firm’s list of clients, but who have sought out Ian for his effective and personal representation.
Ian has given back to the legal profession by his involvement as a speaker/presenter at various Continuing Legal Education conferences and the Professional Legal Training Course, as a Bar Association subsection committee member and as an Access to Justice pro bono legal advisor.
Ian has many years of coaching youth soccer and baseball teams under his belt and has long been involved in the alumni of the Athol Murray College of Notre Dame in Wilcox, Saskatchewan. He is currently the President of the B.C. Alumni Society and is on the National Alumni Committee.
