Michael Brown joins Hobbs Giroday as a summer student. A native of West Vancouver, Michael is currently entering his second year at the Schulich School of Law at Dalhousie University.
Prior to entering law school, Michael received a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Victoria, specializing in Entrepreneurship and winning the annual Peter Thomas Innovation Project Award (which recognizes excellence in entrepreneurship). After his degree Michael co- founded the social dining company The Social Feed, which was sold to a US competitor in July 2012.
During his law degree Michael has been involved with numerous school committees, including the Student Finance Committee and serving as an Associate Editor and Website Manager for the Dalhousie Journal of Legal Studies.
Michael is passionate about running and cycling, and has competed in numerous triathlons including Ironman Canada. He is also putting together a fixed-speed bicycle using a 1970’s French frame and independently sourced new and vintage components.
