In February, 2008 Mr. Hobbs made a presentation to a constitutional law class of Professor Robin Elliott at the UBC Law School about his role as counsel for the Burrardview Neighbourhood Association in their case against the City of Vancouver and Lafarge. The case was argued before the Supreme Court of Canada in 2007 on constitutional issues involving paramountcy and interpretation of the federal powers over navigation and shipping.
Mr. Giroday has prepared and made presentations to Continuing Legal Education Conferences in the areas of class actions, products liability, personal injury and shareholders’ remedies. He has also provided client seminars on loss preventions in the areas products liability and maintenance. Mr. Giroday has been a guest instructor at the Professional Legal Training Course on Chambers Practise.
