As a civil litigation lawyer in Vancouver, Ian Giroday has nearly 30 years of wide-ranging and interesting litigation experience in estate litigation, products liability and class actions, as well as employment, transportation and administrative law. Ian also assists clients with probate applications and estate administration.
He has acted for many large corporations and organizations that you might expect to find on a big firm’s client list, but who have sought out Ian for his honest, effective and personal representation. Some of these clients include Ford Motor Company, Ford Motor Company of Canada, Jaguar Land Rover Canada, Volvo Cars of Canada Corporation, the College of Physicians and Surgeons of British Columbia, Burlington Northern Santa Fe Railroad, the International Triathlon Union and Van-Kam Freightways Ltd.
Ian has a great fondness for assisting clients as an estate litigation lawyer from his Vancouver office. He takes care to provide clear information, practical advice and effective representation.
Professional Activities
Over the past many years Ian has been providing public lectures in the Greater Vancouver area on estate litigation. He has been involved in the legal community as a speaker at various Continuing Legal Education conferences and the Professional Legal Training Course. He is a Bar Association section committee member in the wills and trusts and product liability practice areas and products liability sub-sections. Ian has been an Access to Justice Pro Bono legal advisor.
Community
Ian was a long-time coach of youth soccer and baseball teams as his children grew up. He was involved for many years in the alumni of the Athol Murray College of Notre Dame in Wilcox, Saskatchewan, including roles as President of the National Alumni Association and President of the B.C. Alumni Society.
